Computer lab and studio Study area Lecture theatre Academic office My model is supported by pilotis underneath and has a curved and flowing roof. It is a open end building with all teaching and studying area inside. The building is coordinated with the external environment. It is free from limitation by external walls. And the internal walls are in different heights, also long and have free shapes.

EXP3: 2 moving elements

Moving elements: The left side of the roof move to the left and more sun light can come in and that is the natural light which can save energy. Animation of moving element: The lattice wall move along the the 1st floor curve. In summer, it can let the wind blow from the direction which it doesn't on, and make people feel cooler.

EXP3: Theory

Le Corbusier's concept: "During the 1920s, Le Corbusier designed a series of houses (above) which allowed him to develop his ideas further. By 1926, he had devised his Five Points of Architecture, which he viewed as a universal system that could be applied to any architectural site. The system demanded pilotis (slender columns) to raise the building off the ground and allow air to circulate beneath; roof terraces, to bring nature into an urban setting; a free plan that allowed interior space to be distributed at will; a free façade whose smooth plane could be used for formal experimentation; and ribbon windows, which let in light but also reinforced the planarity of the wall." My concept: Using the pilotis elements to make the building above the ground and have open end and free shape. The curved fluid shape can create more space inside the building. The words I chose: Free, unbalance, fluid
